OUR STORY
THE DESIGNERS
We are Chris and Jana and we love to make things with glass.
Our journey with glass fusing began somewhat accidentally. Jana had enjoyed working with stained glass years ago, and when the opportunity presented itself, she was looking to get back into it. She looked for a class as a refresher, and found one on fusing instead.
One class led to another, which led to a small kiln, which led to a studio in the garage. At one point she showed Chris how to cut glass, so he could help with a project, and he got hooked as well.
Our project interests differ, but overlap. Chris enjoys casting, strip-construction, and other techniques which produce heavier work. Jana enjoys making jewelry, and more detailed designs.
Regardless whether we are working on individual projects, or collaborating on something larger, we are fortunate to love something we can do together.
THE STUDIO MASCOT
This is Baxter, our studio mascot (and king of the house if you ask him).
Baxter was rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Florida 4 years ago, and has been with us ever since.
